Other Halloween Displays in the Area
Over the past few nights, I took a drive around the Cleona, Annville and Palmyra areas looking at different Halloween Displays. As most of you know, my main holiday I decorate for is Christmas, however, Halloween has always been a fun holiday for me to set up my own decorations for. So I thought I'd venture out to see what other's are doing. In this pictorial of different Halloween Displays in the area, we travel East to West from Cleona to Palmyra. I saw some really neat Halloween displays, some that I have known about for years, and some which I just happened upon while driving around. I'm creating this for those of you who would like to go out and see different Halloween Displays in our area.
We begin our journey on the East side of Cleona at the corner of Rosemont Ave, and US Route 422. I like the inflatable skeleton dragon in this display. It's pretty cool!
We continue onto Maple Street from Rosemont Ave. and between Elizabeth Street and Rosemont Ave. there's a house with some lights on the bushes. Continuing West, we pass by a house that's usually lit up for Christmas but now has pumpkins, ghosts and scarecrows across their front yard and a pumpkin over the light above the garage door.
We then continue West and turn right onto North Garfield Street where at the end of the street, we see a Halloween Display featuring an inflatable Dragon! We then continue South on Garfield Street and turn left on Chestnut Street where we find a display with an inflatable pumpkin row and a neat Halloween tree in the window. And right across the Street we find a house with a Halloween tree in their window also, but this tree has Pumpkin Bubble Lights on it. I think that's really neat since I enjoy the Christmas version of bubble lights so much!
Continuing back out onto US Route 422 we pass by my own display located on the North side of 422 between Washington Street and Grant Street in Cleona.
We then head West into Annville where we find some neat Halloween displays right along US Route 422 between Ziegler Street and Rand Street there are two displays that caught my attention, One on the South side of 422 with a small inflatable Ghost out front. The other house being on the North side of 422 in that area. I like how the posts are wrapped in orange lights and I like the projection of the Halloween eyes on the side of the house. There's also a bench with a green light behind it in their yard there. I couldn't get a good picture of it at night, but you can see the light projects the shadow of the bench across the front yard which I think is a cool effect.
Along the South side of Maple Street in Annville between Rand Street and Ulrich Street, there's a neat Halloween Display of Halloween Blowmolds. I like the Ghost projection light on the side of the hosue there!
On the Southwest corner of Cumberland Street and Cherry Street in Annville is a neat Halloween display. On the night I visited I was able to get the moon in the picture with the house.
On the Northeast corner of Queen and Beaver Streets in Annville there's a neat display with lights, decorations and Halloween Blowmolds.
Continuing East on Queen Street we see two other displays. The second house North of the corner of South King Street and Queen Street has a Halloween Display out front which can be seen from South King Street and in their backyard which can be seen from Queen Street. I really like the variety of inflatables in their backyard. And just West on Queen Street there we see an inflatable Ghost, Bat, Pumpkin, Cauldron stack.
The house on the Northeast corner of South Concord Street and Maple Street has a neat Halloween Display with pink lights. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
There are two displays to note on South Lancaster Street in Annville on the West side of the road between Water and High Street behind the Annville Greystone building. I like the lighted spider web and lighted pumpkin stakes there at the one house. I also like the pumpkin there on the porch steps which has a rotating light inside which is cool! And at the other house, the use of the lights across the front looks excellent! They have done an amazing Christmas Display in the past too!
Moving West from Annville, to the East side of Laudermilch Meats, there's one of my favorite Halloween Displays. I remember seeing this one as a kid, and I'm glad to see they're still setting it up today! I like the pumpkins along the fence there, as well as the pumpkin up on the roof and the pumpkin on top of the archway and along the sides of the archway there! Just across the street there's a house with an inflatable Frankenstein and an inflatable Tombstone.
Continuing West into Palmyra, on the Southeast corner of East Maple Street and South Duke Street, we find a house with a large spider web and some tombstones out front. I like the larger spider web there.
Between South Forge Road and South Prince Ave along the South side of East Maple Street in Palmyra we find a Halloween Display with an inflatable Unicorn Skeleton.
Between Fir Street and Hemlock Street, on the East side of South Forge Road , we see a very nice collection of Halloween Blowmolds out front. I really like this display! I saw this house last year at Christmas with the Christmas Blowmolds out and I look forward to seeing their Christmas Display later on this year. Just a little bit South on South Forge Road on the same side of the street there's a house with some orange lights out front with orange lights in the front window and in the lamppost out front. Very well done!
Our final house on this tour is located along the East side of South Railroad Street in Palmyra right at the fork in the road where Campbelltown Road and South Railroad Street intersect. I really like the use of the spotlights on the house here.
I hope you've enjoyed the Halloween Displays tour from Cleona, PA to Annville, PA to Palmyra, PA! If you're in the area, you should definitely check these displays out! I know I didn't mention every Halloween Display in the area, in fact, I know there are some nice displays along Tood Ct. in Cleona at the end of 2nd Street off of East Queen Street in Cleona, PA and two on the East side of South Mill Street just South of the bridge going over Quittapahilla Creek.
